Seriously, can anyone say with a straight face that any recently elected official is the best person for the job given that the only "winners" are pre-selected in a process that is not open to competition? Do you honestly think that GWB could have been elected Dog Catcher in many towns across the US in a fair and open competition?

I appreciate every day that congress tries to not spend (waste) money. Watch out for the day that there is no resistance to either sides spending wishes.
