The whole thing has been almost looked like a miracle. We left home before 7AM Wednesday morning. They prepped her for surgery mid day and she was in recovery in early evening with the entire malignant growth gone from her body. They monitored her hourly all night Wednesday night and was doing great yesterday morning.

All day yesterday they said she was doing great and would probably go home Friday. In the past at different hospitals with my mom and dad that would mean getting out late in the day. This morning the doctor came by, said she looked great and could go home. I figured that meant we would get out of there tonight. About five minutes later someone came in started the process and she was in the car in about fifteen minutes.

We planned to take her to my moms house until she felt good enough for the two hour drive home. We got to my moms house and I left her long enough to go gas up the car. I got back and she said she wanted to go home.

I put her in the car and hauled azz. We made it home quicker than we have ever made the trip and she is quite happy to be sitting on our own couch right now. The whole thing has gone remarkably well at every turn. She is now on the mend and basically making use of the over 500 hours of sick leave that she has accumulated as a loyal employee of over 30 years.

I am totally convinced that she will just feel better and get better in the next few weeks, and be up to speed by the time we take our previously planned vacation in early November.

I am closing this chapter and want to sincerely thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Today I will give away my youngest lovely daughter in marriage. Yesterday at the rehearsal I wanted to do one of those fancy celebration dances back to my pew after I gave her away but my extreme caucasionality, age and so forth limited me to a double fist pump.

My younger sister is here too and showed up with a 07 or so BMW 335d which I advised her against buying but am tickled she did. I hope to cabbage a drive today before the wedding.

Lots of grandchildren around too.

The Mrs. and I gave our bed to my 88 year old little mamma and slept in our queen in the trailer out back.

I'm gonna go make waffles, eggs and bacon now!
