Maybe the public outcry, which is generally whipped up by the media, is not forthcoming simply because the WW2 generation is probably not a great voter base for the current adminstration. Most of the media is nothing more than a tool based upon the current treands. Maybe Candy Crowley could weigh in ? She certainly jumped into the presidential debates and flexed the media's strong arm ... only to be flat wrong.

Just one tiny example.

The authorities are pursuing the perpetrators, so what would you want the usual harpies to say?

Sure, the cops are chasing the killers. Where's the media's outrage ? Where's the Whitehouse's outrage ? Where's Oprah's outrage ? I hear crickets for the most part ...

This one example of a senseless killing is significantly more outrageous than Travon Martin's deal, a thug wanna-be who attacked George Zimmerman and the thug jumped the wrong guy.

Maybe the audience can explan why the lack of apparent interest? I heard of the Martin deal every hour on the hour to the point of having Martin fatigue.

When did the Trayvon Martin publicity reach a fever pitch? The day after he was shot?

Nope, of course not. But, why should it ? Pretty clear from the start that a thug wanna-be jumped the wrong guy.

Maybe we should post some pictures of Shorty when he was about 12 years old ... maybe a really young kid will spark some interest than a old, WW2 vet.

Outrage over what? I believe that your suggestion that there is a double standard is misplaced. The Martin killing got attention because it appeared that the police were not concerned about the killing of a black kid. The case took on a life of its own after that, but the initial outrage was over the appearance of unequal justice. Since our criminal justice system has always been unquestionably skewed against black people, that concern was understandable in the Martin case.

There are huge differences in the story. If the cops were releasing the one suspect they have, saying he acted in self defense, you might have something. Martin's case got the traction it did in large part because of the hot button profiling issue and because of the way Z went out of his way to start a confrontation that ended with him claiming self-defense.

But who am I kidding? This line of rap will be with us for the foreseeable future.

So, those "huge differences" indicate in the WW2 vet case, almost no coverage ... and same deal with the Aussie who got slaughtered and now it appears that those "kids" were not just bored -- check out the social media by these youngsters.

BUT, if you got a case where it's pretty clear that the victim (Zimmerman) got jumped and the perp (Martin) simply jumped the wrong guy, then you get media blitz ? That may be the way the cookie crumbles and our American way of life, but I really don't get it.

The whole issue is sad and outrageous enough. The fact that there is no outrage from the masses, makes it even MORE sad.

We live in a very sad time. The Sheeple are making it clear just how far down the tube we really are. When the Sheeple don't even see something like this as outrageous, it makes it even more clear that the country has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Problem is what you have is not really attention getting. Sure, some guy died but so what? We have guys being killed every hour of every day. Had they beheaded the old guy and shoved the head on a pike in the middle of Times Square, it would be different. It isn't really any more outrageous than any other murder like the Australian kid. People do bad things all day long because they are basically bad.

If that is really the analysis, then why in the world did Martin-Zimmerman get any more than a 15 second blurb ? Thug wanna-be jumps a chubby hispanic guy who is packing heat? If Zimmerman was not packing heat, and Martin got away with beating this guy to a pulp, no one would care. And the other way around, it's what again ? Like I said, show a picture of Shorty when he was 12 years old and post that everywhere. That will get attention -- it sure did with Martin's case. Why did America celebrate a thug wanna be again? From the president on down, Martin was elevated to a near god-like status and he was at best a thug wanna be whereas Shorty actually did something for his country. Larry Bible hit the nail on the head ... this is sad all the way around.

Because the family made it a race issue and people got excited. 4 white cops beat a black guy is more spectacular than 20 black cops shoot a white guy.

Totally different. A kid dying is seen as some sort of sad thing compared to an adult dying.

The Prez is an attention whore and you know it. Anyone in politics is an AW. Look at the "outrage" over bailing out banks from the senators. Really? You didn't specify conditions or read fine print.

"did" being the operative word. "did" is past tense. The evil that men do lives after them.......

You missed the main point of controversy surrounding the Martin killing.

What makes you think the demon sheeple don't see this as outrageous?

It's like link said: 40 murders a day. You can't run through the streets and shout about all of them.

The Martin/Zimmerman story was sort of a perfect storm. Look at all the play it got in online forums. That's not going to happen with every murder. It's not possible.
