I like Rodman in NK. I think it's good that Kim has an American friend he admires. Rodman was perfectly designed for this mission. He's not in high demand anywhere else, but given the obsession with the Jordan era Bulls by Kim and his father before him, Rodman is uniquely suited for this role. Jordan or Pippin would not have worked IMO. They don't understand theater the way Rodman does.

The other end of that is that all Countries will do what is needed for their own best interest or the Politicians keeps themselves in Power.

As for the Middle East itself I would say things are not improving with the use of Chemical Weapons and an anti-American Country about to become a Nuclear Power; not to mention the overall increase in violence.

I am thinking that in reality the whole Middle East is actually involved in a Civil War. The bulk of the violence has sifted from attacks against Israel to attacks against other Muslims; and, has spread to Africa.

Our allies have to come along with anything we come up with or they don't trust us? Sorry, but that is a very immature view of the world.

Unfortunately it was what GWB asked them to do when he wanted to go into Iraq and some did....sort of like "Trust me they have weapons of mass destruction".

Our friends don't always have the same interests as we do....that does not mean they don't trust us.

Not to many bosses would agree with the statement She is doing a great job even though conditions have not improved. Mine would not approve if conditions are worse in every aspect. To respond to your follow up to this statement in advance, Egypt worse off now, Syria worse off now, Iraq worse off now, Iran as bad off now, Ally support worse off now.
