Isn't a "routine" service something obscene like $5k or $10k?

You need to think long term on one of these. If you don't use it much it will not cost much to maintain, but if you do drive it a lot.....

Road and Track did an article once about four passenger Ferraris in which they pointed out that while they were cheap to buy used they cost as much to maintain as much as a 512 BB.

But some things in life are worth it. I am too tall to fit into any Ferrari, so while I have helped others work on theirs I don't ever intend to own one.

If you won't kill your retirement or put you in piles of debt, do it. Did they ever make these with standards?

My favorite Ferrari color combo - Tour de France blue over palomino.

I'm sure you know the expected maintenance costs - spd is in the ballpark - and the "always have $10K ready" rule of owning a car like this.

Price seems OK, but I dunno the market for these very well. Does it have the window regulator fix? Betcha it needs a major service, given the pricing.

That Ferrari makes your Maserati seem like a sensible car.

I'd rather have the Caterham/Lotus you were looking at last week. That Ferrari is a snooze compared to the Lotus. As Jay Leno says, it's more fun to have a car that you can push close to its limits than to have a car whose capabilities can never be exploited without breaking the law and endangering everyone around you.

Give me a 4-cylinder sports car any day of the week over that Ferrari.

Despite the pop up headlights I always found these to be pretty bland. A 355 is the one you want.
