^ HAH!
A buddy of mine took his Toyota pickup to one of the tire shops for a brake job (?!), doesn't know how to do the work himself. A couple days later it was making noise, he asked me about it, I look under, the bolts on one of the calipers clearly hadn't been tightened, they were about to come out. We went back, I told the guy what I'd found, he coughed, cleared his throat, etc., didn't admit anything but he did tighten them. I guess I could have done it myself but the place was only about 8 blocks away and we wanted to give them grief.

About the same as those Speedy Jiffy Qwick oil places finding it inconvenient to have to tighten the drain bolt.
![]() But do they get as much credit when they over tighten and strip the threads? |

Thanks. Your handshake needs work, too. I shook hands with a dead fish last week, and he did better than that.

No kidding...I used that stuff to hold rubber trim pieces on an old van when I realized there was more rust than steel that held it on, and even the rust was failing! Between the Gorilla Tape and string, I drove that van for a few more years that I thought possible.

No no no no no.
With zip ties, you lose the dissimilar metals stuff that comes with use of a high quality baling wire/coat hanger. This promotes rust, creating a more robust joint over time.
