More voter registration fraud....

These stories need all the attention they can get. I guess there are some out there that think they are so smart they can get away with this crime, but thankfully this is not the case.

Bassett Man Pleads Guilty to Voter Fraud, Perjury - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

But apparently election officials are getting better at detecting this and acting on it. One case in Indiana a few weeks ago took five years to bring to a close. At least this one stems from 2011.

I think at the root of this problem are paid petition runners. If they are getting paid for each 'voter' they sign up then they are not only violating election laws but they are also scamming the group paying them to run the petition.

Regardless of which side you're cheering for, this crap needs to end.

As long as there is a profit there will be fraud. If there is cash money to be made a true scam artist will only be cheering only for themselves.

I think the true partisan hack that is willing to risk prison time is rare, but there are always lots of folks thinking they can pick up a fast buck for doing nothing, and the more respectable a name they can tie themselves to the easier it is to do.

And while not criminal there is always a lot of misinformation pushed out for the consumption of the low information voter. This is a fraud in a moral sense, but I don't see anyway to stop it except for questioning everything and demanding accurate reporting.

Nothing wrong with quote. It has been at least 30 years since I met someone who ran for office just because they wanted to help people.

But a lot of these petition runners are paid by the number of names they collect. When I was a kid I had a job stuffing flyers into screen doors and I was once told that I was the only kid that always delivered them. Others just dumped them.

We were paid 1/2 cent for each flyer we delivered.

So if there is money to be made the scammers will show up and try to get away with it.

This is nothing but fraud. It is also stealing from the person paying for the petition names to be gathered. In this case the true victim was Newt since he paid for something he never really received.

One case will not get a person elected to national office, but one case can steal funds that the person was going to use during the election.

Throw them all under the jail and maybe it will slow a few of them down.

You're right JP, but it won't. A few months ago, they were interviewing an Obama supporter in Ohio that admitted, in her mind was bragging about, voting 14 times on the same day.

There should be a super serious penalty for voter fraud, and VOTER ID should be required. That alone would knock out much of it.

As least in Federal elections. Standards for state/local voting should be left up to the localities.

(Some states like Maryland allow non-citizen residents to vote in local elections, and NYC is considering this right now.)

You REALLY need to pay more attention to the news!

http://secureourfreedom.net/wp/ohio-woman-who-voted-6-times-for-obama-convicted-of-felony-voter-fraud/

This is only one of the MULTIPLE CONVICTIONS that have been reported in the HONEST media.

This is a perfect example of how the mainstream selectively reports ONLY what they want you to hear.

For the gullible blind Obama followers, I suppose it would be no surprise that this happened and they did not hear about it. Since Brokaw is their only news source, it stands to reason.

Not unless there's a database linking different jurisdictions and they all agree to tie in to the same computer system (HAH!). I still get ballots in my former home town in NJ (family still owns the house) five years after I last actually voted there. Voter registration is done on paper.

Dude, show me the youtube clip, I'm 110% sure something so outrages would make the cut. She voted 14 times!!?

I find it, you were so right! She voted 14 times for the same candidate on the same day, I hope they punish her! Youtube.

I don't care WHO requires Voter ID for the elections, just do it unless everyone is happy with compromised elections.

I don't have a problem with LEGAL non-citizens voting in local elections, but they should be required to present photo id as well.

Didn't you catch some minor election official committing voter fraud and wind up looking the other way? You were happy with a compromised election, why do we have to be held to a higher standard? Do as I say, not as I do?
