Help - the wife wants a Cadillac Escalade

Anyone that can offer some suggestions for talking her OUT of considering it will be listened to. I told her I did not have any tools to work on something like that but she said she wants something BIG.
I want to kinda hold out and see what DC comes out with the turbodiesel. I have even considered taking her to test drive one of the Sprinter vans which, in my opinion would probably be alot better vehicle than the Escolade once you put an interior in it - sounds like another good project.

Escalade

Im not too much in love with GM products unless its a 1969 Z28 Camaro blue with white/stripes... anyway a co-worker of mine recently bought a 2002 Cadillac Escalade and I must admit they are nice.Navigation System/Sony Playstation/excellent Stereo/CD System etc.I think that they are in the $50,000.00 neighberhood which is too rich for me.But if someone can swing the money for one they are nice.

You could get a really nice Unimog at that price, after all, they're about the same size too. I think mogs come prewired for a satellite uplink.

My uncle has a 99 GMC Denali same thing . I like it cheaper build but it is pretty good for an american car they are decent off road I tried. They are no where near as slow as they look. The bose stereo is ok too. Bad thing I put 35 dollars in gas in it after one day. But boy those wheels spin

I've seen one too many Escalades in rap videos. I'll leave it up to you whether that's a good or bad thing.

I think she is being influenced by the 13 yr and 8 yr old boys watching too much rap videos. They also mention something called Cristal that they see in those videos too. Don't know what in the world that is.
In all honesty I am not very keen on 4WD just because of the added driven rotating stuff. I will admit that I do kinda like the way the G500 looks until I look at the $$. Last time I was over at the dealer picking up some miscellaneous parts for the 240D they had one with the sticker still in the window - $79k - nice looking vehicle though.

Cristal is a ridiculously expensive and overpriced champagne, which runs up to six or seven hundred dollars per bottle. It's not even that good really, but it is one of the most expensive -- and rap stars tend to like whatever is the most expensive of anything. It is also easier to rap than "Piper-Heidsieck", "Veuve Clicquot", Dom Perignon", or "Moet et Chandon".

Unplug the MTV and buy a bottle of Cook's (or Tott's) Champagne!

The extra $$$ saved will pay for the kids' college :p
