You could not pay me enough to use that device. Odds are far too good that something nasty might happen. People even injure themselves on normal wood splitters.

Kinetic splitters aren't a new idea. Given better construction and a flywheel-guard, this would actually be relatively safe to use.

No doubt at all. I once examined a total home made firewood processor locally upon request. You really could not give me enough money to operate it even for just an hour.

At some point it would have killed a person. I think it was ultimately scrapped as no purchaser could be found. The original builder was obviously frightened of it as well.
