You can't compare the two, better would be E vs 5-series. Anyway, all things remaining equal, I'd take the E320.

Agree with Kuan.

They are not in the same class RE size, cost, and many others.

Question

Depends on what you are looking for.

Is the BMW a manual? Are you in the market for a manual? There is not doubt that the 325 is a much better "driver's car" in comparison, if this is what you are looking for.

I have the 97 E320 and have no complaints except for the times I miss having the clutch and stick (previous car was a manual). I too looked at the 00 325 at the time and was very impressed with the handling and feel of the car. The car is not as large at the W210 but this can either be a good thing or bad thing depending on your situation.

It's a tough choice, good luck.

Yea I know these 2 cars are in different classes but both can be had for around the same amount in the used car market. I think I will stick with a automatic transmission. Im hoping the current e class will loose some value when the new e class comes out this summer. Im just kinda weary about all the stories i've read about mb's decline in quality. One good thing is the new e class looks similiar to the current 210 so having a 210 won't look so dated. Mb tends to have designs that never go out of style. The bmw does look better and seems to be well made but It's a entry level bimmer as oppose to e class which is mid pack. What you guys think? I haven't driven the 3 series yet but by reading some magazine reports the e320 does 0-60 in like 7.1 seconds which is good enough for me. With the bmw you need a standard transmission to get similiar numbers. Im sure the bmw is more fun to drive and toss around cause of it's size. So it's a tough choice. Which would you all pick ?

The BMW's are good cars, btu the benz is also a good car. go with the one that you will enjoy driving the most. go drive them, and choose the one that puts the biggest smile on your face when you drive it.

I chose my 92 300ce over a 95 325IS. The benz felt better, and put a bigger smile on my face, and it felt more solid thant he BMW to me.
