Game cameras

I am trying to understand game cameras so I can pick one out. Do they all use motion sensing? Or do some just take a picture every so often? It seems like very few mention motion sensing, but maybe that is just assumed? I would think you would want that. I need it for home security so I need invisible flash also. The specs seem to be fairly clear on that point with the low-glow or no-glow ratings. Thanks

Most use motion sensing, but not all. Virtually all can be adjusted to take timed shots in intervals from 1-30 minutes. I have two different ones I use around the ranch for predator intervention and amusement. I was having some repeated fence cutting vandalism and was able to catch the kids who were doing it trespassing on a remote part of the property where the dogs don't normally go. Their parents were not amused with the pics.
A Moultrie I got at WalMart for under 60 bucks and an HCO I bought on Optics Planet for about twice as much. The HCO takes slightly better definition photos but is otherwise not worth twice the price. Both are motion sensing.
I think once you get past about 80-100 bucks on these cameras you have reached the point of diminishing return on your expenditure.
