Sinaloa Shenanigans
Quote:
Vigilantes in Mexico have clashed with soldiers deployed in the western state of Michoacan to disarm the groups, who last week launched an offensive against the Knights Templar drug cartel. Most groups have ignored a government order to lay down their weapons. BBC News - Mexican vigilantes clash with soldiers in Michoacan state Unquote Is the gob in league with the drug cartels or merely incompetent? |

Possibly in league AND incompetent, depending on which official you're talking about. Photos look like a scene from the Troubles in Norn Iron. |

Very interesting. Government fails to deal with drug cartel violence. Citizens arm and organize. Now the government doesn't like armed citizen groups getting in on its job (that it hasn't been doing-at least not very well). Time for a revolution in Mexico?

I wish the people in Mexico could afford to own firearms like we have. Than they could rise up and fix their country.
They need a revolution and they need a government that comes down hard on these cartels like Stalin era hard.

In terms of national security, it would be in the interest of the US to do just that, support an insurection that topples the cartels & the corrupt Federali government.
