Good piece. In a world of ultra wealthy international corporations, truth becomes what can be paid for. A dangerous situation. Good thing Hayes has a sense of humor.

The essay seemed to end abruptly.


Upon further reflection, the situation is analagous to the Galileo/Church dispute with corporations substituting for the institutional power of religion.

It's still unfolding.

If it is not marketing/pr/propaganda they have little motivation to share it. Sometimes they mask it with science. Science in the media is usually a marketing tool.
