Who do our children belong to? The teen was recieving medical care, under the diagnosis of a doctor. A hospital didn't agree, the parents didn't fall into lockstep and the courts take the child away? No wonder the government wants to take our guns.......

This is bizarre:
(1) Tufts University has a well-respected teaching hospital, not a clinic run by a quack.
(2) The parents and child are residents of Connecticut, and seeked treatment for her out of state. Should MA have jurisdiction? I don't think we're dealing with bad parents who actually took her to a private hospital, out of state to give her the care she needs.

...and if they'll do it to them, they will do it to you too.

There may soon come a day when if diagnosed and prescribed the latest most profitable drug and you refuse to take it you will be diagnosed a mental case and restrained or drugged into submission.

Don't want chemo? Too bad. Stents? Too bad. Wanna die at home? Too Bad.

I will eventually look up how Advance Directives are handled under the new health care finance reform. I doubt I will like what I find.

Something appears to be missing from that story. It doesn't make sense.
