Your classic car preference requested
So here's the hypothetical:
Suppose you're to drive a classic car cross country for a friend. It's a well-preserved driver and very presentable, but not super expensive (otherwise he would be shipping it.) You'll have the car a few days at your place before making the trip. And the trip also is likely to take a few days. Whether you have a companion(s) for the road trip is your choice. He'll be footing the bill for hotels, meals, and airfare back home. In order of preference, what would be your Top 10 list of older classics (like anything before 1988) to make the journey with? For me, I think I'd want a 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV on the list Last edited by mrdane; 03-21-2014 at 01:34 AM. |

Yeah, any open 12 cylinder Ferrari....as long as he is paying the bill for gas.
A 49 Buick like in Rainman would be pretty sweet too.....heck I'd even want to stop at a random house and watch Judge Judy with a stranger's kids...while eating (was it Cheetos?)

I've always loved those. I was disappointed to learn they aren't really fit for...men of stature...so my dream of someday owning one was then squashed. The width could be addressed, but I'm probably not going to shrink 3-4 inches.

Nobody's said Duesenberg yet? A Duesenberg Model J would be on my list.
