Well, I still enjoyed it . Thanks.
BTW, what with the '91? You bought two cars from Chad? I haven't been able to keep up with you since you went over to the dark side...

They're taking their time crushing them. Google maps still shows tons of cars in the woods.

Theres more than one of these secret junkyards out in the woods of RI. I know of a 30 to50 car air cooled vw collection rusting in the brush as well. Apparently the guy is sitting on a while slew of rare bus variants that he wont sell to people. A friend of mine who is way into air cooled is constantly *****ing about this guy. I guess if you are local and into air cooled, you have bought parts off this hermit in the woods and lusted after his collection
RI is a small state, makes you wonder just how many of these secret car stashes there are nationwide, especially in a much bigger state where everyone is less likely to know everyone else. Ive been to a couple in VT that were amazing. People collect the most interesting things that strike their fancy. On one particular one, i went to go look at a diesel for sale, and the guy had a real taste for amphibious cars and old ambulances. There were only 5 or 6 of those amphicars, all some rare model, but there was at least 15 ambulances kicking around.

There is a guy near me in NJ who I bought an 84 300D off of with a bad motor. I bought the car a few years ago. He has 2 Pontons. A Fintail and a few W116s. All are ok and in shape to be restored. Plus a handful of W126, W124 and W123s. Stubborn SOB won't sell them. I also had someone down the street (well about a mile or so) with a 450SEL W116. It's some guy with a crazy bad hoarding problem. He sold the W116 after it rotted in the woods on his property a few years ago. How ever got money for it and what he did sell it for amazes me. Rust-bucket to the max. I also have a friend who is selling his property full of Mercedes. Selling the building and whoever buys it gets about 24 cars or so with it. They are mostly parts cars, but still. Plus a lot of rare parts also for cars that you won't ever find. I want to buy his W124 Diesel 2.5 from the property for the turbo fender alone. I would offer roughly a little more than scrap considering it has a lot of parts I can use.
