Anyone who doesn't see that adequate ID adds legitimacy is asleep at the wheel.

What kind of screwed up system has a paper data base and electronic voting machines....
Seems backwards to me.

Any one who doesn't 'see' (or understand/admit) that more stringent/restrictive voter requirements directly correlate to disproportionately affecting he poorer adversely - to advantage the agenda of the wealthy, is asleep in the brain.

For sake of argument, even it it doesn't have any impact of the outcome of any elections, it will go towards improving people's perception of fairness and legitimacy, which may get more people involved.
That's a good thing.

I just can't abide the R side trying to enact voter suppression laws and calling them voter ID laws.

Maybe put aside the ID issue and address the topic of the OP.

What's your take on the rash of new laws which seek to restrict early voting?

The amount of voter fraud in the last two presidential elections was inexcusable, especially for a country that pretends to be a democracy. Laws to require voter ID in federal elections will go a long way to solving that problem. America should adopt the policy of inked fingers that other countries with that much voter fraud are using. The other issues are inconsequential by comparison. A qualified voter who wants to vote will find a way. If they're too lazy to do that, then perhaps they're not actually qualified to vote.

Ah, the laziness clause in the constitution regards voter eligibility. How did we all miss that? Got a link? So do tell, can you link us up with facts regards all this "amount of voter fraud in the last two presidential elections was inexcusable' or are you just blowing hard again?

How much money do we want to spend on appearances? Ten case of voter ID fraud over 10 years does not seem worth while.

You have any sources for all this voter ID fraud? I have only heard of 10 confirmed cases since 2000.

If one doesn't check ID, how does one determine perpetration of fraud?
