Hi All. I was driving my car on Friday and started hearing a slight ticking/almost "faint bell" sound coming from the right hand side of the vehicle. Seemed to be originate in the dash board/glove compartment on the passenger side. Turned off music, ac and pulled over still making the tick/clicking noise. Then I turned OFF the car and could not get it started. I waited for about an hour and it fired right back up. It still had the ticking noise. I drove it about 15 minutes and it was still ticking. When I put the car in (N, P, or D) it made the noise. Only when I put the gear in (R) did the sound leave. When I turned the car off, it would not start again. - 139K miles on it

When you say 'won't start'... does that mean no crank? Or crank with no start? fast or slow crank?
Few more details needed to get even close to an educated guess.
