Like the American dream I would have to be sleeping to have this happen to me.

My perifial vision is well developed when examining the opposite sex. I probably could be looking them straight in the eyes and still pick up a studded belly button as well. Probably just the result of years of practice.

When the girls wore T shirts with the printed slogan these are not my eyes you are looking at or whatever. I always read the script before examining their eyes even though I was looking directly into them.

I have even suffered the indignity of it suggested by some members of the opposite sex. That I was only interested in one thing. I always found that hard to argue with. Still a good opening to insert humour though as any other answer would not have much credibility at that time.
