Bison on the hoof

Some interesting footage, the story is amusing at best, that is, the part about people speculating that the animals are running because they know the super-volcano is about to blow. The most recent eruption was 640,000 years ago. Not sure the buffalo are going to have some primal memory of it.

But cool to watch buffalo trotting in the Rockies.

I would not be surprised if they might react to tremors. I certainly hope its not ready to erupt.

If it goes, you can say goodbye to North America...if the explosion doesn't get you and the ash doesn't choke you, it will destroy the food supply.

I think the republicans are up there scaring the buffalo, so people will think armageddon is imminent and continue to buy firearms and ammunition at record pace....

It would appear that those bison were actually running TOWARD the park.

I'm thinking the bison sensed the ongoing natural disaster that is the modern world and instinctively moved in a direction away from it, which was deeper into the park.

The second video is less visually delightful than the first but the guy said there are many small earthquakes every year in the park, so I'm guessing tremors wouldn't startle them overmuch.

Maybe the bison were just running for the joy of running. Herd animals do that sometimes. Or maybe the bison news network reported the existence of some fresh early spring grass sprouting up down the road.

Why do some people intentionally HOPE and search for signs of doom? Is the world so confusing for them that the only solution is to shut it all down?
