Nice piece of history. Glad you preserved it to appreciate.
I think those Brownings were also issued to British troops, I believe, so American troops were often happy to obtain one. It makes sense that Germans would end up with them although up to now I associated them with German made firearms. Thanks for sharing.

The Browning Hi-Power may still be the issue side arm to almost all British Commonwealth troops. It still is for Canadians.
