I the Case of the Gun it was taken to several Wars and worked it also worked really well when used. So it is hard to ignore that.
No one has much to say about the Revolvers that were also used in 2 of the Wars.

I wouldn't dispute that the 1911 doesn't work well. It does without question. What I cannot see is why people are so stuck on having a new one made in the same way. These would be the same people that would want to build an M16 or AK in the way they want.
