The CA govt is out of control! I'm trying to get an exhaust and some tuning for my new truck (pick up power and fuel mileage), and half of the tuners I've talked to can't/won't help of ship to anyone with a CA billing zip code or CA shipping address!

Seems the CA EPA has been cracking down lately - and it's easier for tuners/dealers/sellers to say "No Sales" instead of carrying CA complaint tunes and parts.

Thinking a move out of this state may be in order! I hear Texas pretty lax gun/smog/laws...

Dude you did not live in CA 25+ years ago during the years before the switch to unleaded. You could not go on a 30 minute run, come home, and not hack brown stuff out of your lungs. You'd take a shower and the water would be dark.

I can remember driving down from Big Bear. The layer of smog over the valley was vile. I'm thankful for CARB every time I visit. Air still socks but it socks a lot less than it used to.

I the mid nineties I worked for a company based in Irvine, I can remember some drives to and from the airport that were through a brown sky.

In the late seventies I worked for a company based in Fullerton. I spent a month in the Buena Park Hotel. I would get up every morning and look out over Knott's Berry Farm. The last morning I was there I opened the drapes to see for the first time mountains in the distance. A Santa Anna storm had blown the crap out.

I understand the problem they dealt with, but I'm not convinced that they haven't taken it to the extreme.

What exactly are you trying to get shipped? How do you ship tuning? 2 good ways to tune your vehicle are to get it on a dyno or do road runs and datalog. What vehicle is this for?

Depends. As a gun store owner, I'd rather have people being able to own more guns so I can sell more guns. If I had kids, send them elsewhere to better schools. If I used public transport, I'd want that improved and screw the rest. I have no kids so close all the schools you want and give me the change. My father, for example could care less about recreation stuff. As long as you allow him to do business with no restrictions, he could care less about personal freedoms and playthings. So depends on who's sacred cow you are talking about.
