So I ordered something on Friday afternoon and the order was processed and picked up on Monday by Fed Ex. That evening it arrived at their Kennesaw, GA facility.

Tracking reflects that it remains at the Kennesaw facility, although it still shows delivery scheduled for this Friday (Bay Area, CA). I'm wondering if it was one of the packages affected by the shooting there, which makes me think of the extreme odds of something like that happening for any given package.

In any event, I'm hoping that all of the victims recovery completely and I'm relieved that there were no fatalities -- other than the gunman.
