I think we should find out what Ron Jeremy and Pamela Anderson think about world affairs.
Celebrity opinion is really valuable. |

I want to know what Miley Cyrus thinks of Benghazi before I make up my mind.

There's also the chance that his account was hacked...and not that I'm a twitter user, but how do they know that's really "his" official account? I mean I'm friends with John Wayne on facebook, but I don't think it's really him that's posting.

He's funny.
Probably goes over just fine with his 70+yo target audience.

Considering the rocket scientist nature of his work, his opinion surely will carry weight.
But WTF, 'unpatriotic racists?' The guy was going for a 3-fer of hot buttons. Impressive stuff there. ![]()

Should We Care What A Billionaire Thinks About Science?
The Steyer-backed outside group, NextGen Climate, has billed itself as a progressive, pro-environment counterbalance to the wealthy oil and gas industry -- as well as the primary foil to the pro-business Koch brothers and their well-funded conservative donor network. The outfit, launched last year by the San Francisco billionaire, has already pledged to spend heavily this midterm year in Iowa to assist the Democratic Senate nominee Bruce Braley, and in Florida, where Gov. Rick Scott is facing a difficult re-election fight against Democrat Charlie Crist. |

Should We Care What Anyone Thinks?
If their thoughts create actions that influence my life, then maybe. Otherwise, a popular game show host has just as much valid opinion as some elected politician, and is usually more entertaining.

I know a lot of entertainers. I would trust their instincts on what works in an act or a script if it didn't cost too much to produce or drive away the auds.
But their scientific knowledge is somewhat limited. The last entertainer to truly know anything about any level of science was Hedy Lamarr and that was during WW2. Entertainers have intelligence but it is tilted towards what is entertaining. I once read that Rush Limbaugh testified before Congress on the subject of Global Warming during the 80's so I guess anyone can call themselves an expert on the subject. |
