Speeding kills, in some cases both the driver and others. Physics and velocity; it is the SUDDEN stop that gets you.

The streets are no place to race though that is all I see every day. However, there is a bright side to stop light racing, when the light turns green and EVERYONE floors the accelerator; transmission and drive line wear increase by a factor of at least two. Then, as they race to the next red stop light, they wait untill the last second then JAM on the binders. This move increases brake rotor and pad wear by a factor of at least two.

Midas and Meineke brake repair shops are a multi-million dollar business because of stop light racing. As a matter of fact, I don't see how anyone investing in a brake or transmission repair shop can lose money. Simply show up and fix and repair stop light racers.

Drivers pay extra $$$$$ for the privilege of attempting to defy physics...... You cannot fix Stupid.

Ditto for body shops. Subsidized by the insurance companies, auto manufacturers, oil companies, government...

Is that worse than split infinitives?
