Got a new shoot-box...

Picked up this ****-box to beat around in...

Got a good deal on it - the rear air suspension isn't holding air when turned off. Going to toss some coil springs in the rear and delete the air suspension. Should be fixed for less than $300.

Other than the fuel mileage, I really like it. Super comfy, very spacious, and ride is absolutely sublime. I really like GM SUVs, the drivetrains are pretty bulletproof and can take a pretty good amount of abuse before letting go.

I'm thinking about selling my truck and keeping this - the 6.4 in my truck gets about 14 city/19 freeway, and this has been getting ~12.5 city and ~16 city. With regular being ~40 cents cheaper than D2, it's actually about the same as my truck to run. Can't tow quite as much as the diesel, but should pull everything I have.

Thoughts? Am I nuts?

Haven't checked any parts specific to the Hummer just yet.

The parts I have looked at are shared with various Tahoes, Yukons, and 2500HDs. I'm sure there are quite a few H2 specific parts that are NLA though.

What color is it?

Other than the boxy look it's just another GM SUV so it's not going to be terrible to fix. I do believe they have issues off road

Nah, but forget that silly yuppie-mobile and nevermind the gas mileage.

Take a Suburban 2500, shorten the wheelbase to approximate that of a Tahoe, and you have the H2. It is no better or worse off road than either of the aforementioned vehicles. Consumer expectation of off-roading abilities was sky-high thanks to GM's marketing.

Fine, then give the keys to one of them to Sarah Palin and tell her to ask Putin how the war is going, when she gets there

Close. You can't get to russia from alaska but you can see russia from your backyard in alaska while sitting in one. It probably has to be a clear day with little to no brain fog.
