Death would be easier than dealing with my father...

I get most of my personality traits from my mom, who was much more patient and laid back. Sometimes I wish I was a little closer to the middle between them.

new strategy, your dad should appear with a cooler and an overnight bag with provisions and supplies. He then should tell the contractor that hes got a new houseguest and passenger in his truck until the foundation is in, as your dad will spend every minute with him until the supplies run out, then start foraging in the contractors house

That's a terrifying prospect! That's why I'm so glad that he found a ladyfriend to keep him out of my (lack of) hair.

The foundation is finally done! Should start popping forms and waterproofing tomorrow along with inspection appointment at 2:00 then they can start playing with wood. They were putting in a beam along the sill where the rear foundation wall used to be this morning, will be supported by a couple columns.
