When You Come to the Fork in the Road, Take It

To understand Yogi's comment, you have to know that his house, on Sutherland Street in Montclair,NJ was at the far end of a loop that was Sutherland. So, it didn't matter which way you went on Sutherland, left or right, you'd get to his house in the same amount of time and distance.

Oh, and he played baseball too, 10 World Series Championships, all kinds of hitting records and MVP, All-Star awards.

When Billy Martin, Mickey Mantle and Yankee pitchers used to go out on the town, Berra wouldn't stay out as late with them, telling them that he, not them, was involved in every pitch and every play.

There is/was a minor league stadium named after Yogi at Montclair University. Went to a game there about 15 years ago and watched the Jersey Jackals play.
Yogi caught Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADvWhMnDgEE
In 1961 the Yankees had 3 catchers hit 20 home runs. Yogi, Elston Howard and 3rd stringer Johnny Blanchard.
1961: the year of the M&M boys chasing the Babe. Saw quite a few games in the old stadium in the early 60's, including the opening WS game in '61.

RIP.

Excellent, now it all makes sense.
