First Aid Kit
I recently did a search on the forum for First Aid Kits and the few threads I found pointed to a website where you could purchase them for $45.00.
Well I decided to check with the dealership to see if they had them and at what cost. Guess what, they cost $26.00!! They have another type that sells for $36.00 but they are model specific. Unfortunately the newer case is a black cloth type material (not the original white plastic), so if attention to detail is important to you then just remove the contents from the new case and transfer them to the old case. You'll find that 99% of the items are the same size but they have newer labels on them.

I wonder if the contents of that kit are still new and can still be used. If they are it would be a great chance to get the originals.
I know mine had leaked and destroyed everything but the white plastic case, tape, scissors and the gauze.

I would do the same too and swap the contents.
This has got me thinking. Is MB the only car that comes with an ib-built medical kit? I don't seem to recall any other models having it mounted as a standard on the rear-board. ps . what about a fire-extinguisher?

I saw this post yesterday and had a look in the first aid box on the rear shelf of my 190. Low and behold the entire original first aid kit is in there from 1987...in its clear plastic casing.
More than likely all usless now though |
