I discovered a couple of months ago that McD offers a very good (IMHO) Latte. Now in my travels I have found that around here the most usual charge is $.49 for an extra shot of expresso. But I have also paid .79 and .99. This morning I refused to pay 1.49 and left without my Latte (after complaining).

What's up with this??

I thought McD was all about predictability.

Predictability of quality/taste, price per sq' and labor costs in different restaurants necessitate price differences.

McDonald's Corporation employs a massive global network of independent franchisees. Prices vary.
McDonald's is a Great American success story, and a terrific cash generating machine over the decades.

But their food is pretty lousy except for breakfast.

The ranch bacon chicken salad with grilled chicken is quite good too.....and the parfaits. Occasionally I'll get a grilled chick sandwich too.

But the thing that brings me back now is the latte.

I'm sure the latte(s) McDonald's offers are scrumptious, refreshing, and rejuvenate one's spirit and mental outlook. That's the goal. Provide what you want, all, at a reasonable price, versus the focused competitor..........Starbucks.

Fastfood brkfst is all about the biskets and gravey ,no one comes close to whataburgers price and taste.

A small serving of biscuits and gravy if the gravy is really good is good....but if I made a whole meal of it I'd be miserable/1
