i've had mine for about 2 yrs and it still works like a charm.
for 175 bucks how many gallons of water is that per month.

Yes. It has the dimensions of a 1/2 socket at the end of the SS flex line. If I remember, I will get you a picture of it. And yes, I was totally shocked that it actually worked because I wondered why the water did not work on the downstairs' toilet one morning, and my wife made me go and look under the house. And to my surprise, there was a tiny spray like mist of water shooting out of the PCV pipe leading to the downstairs' bathroom. It is all one piece or component.
