solution to world's problems

I think I know of some ways to change the plight of mankind.Allowing peace and love to flourish for each other.
For one it must start at the schools. Stop saying the pledge or change it,I pledge to the earth, and mankind. Stop competition in schools against one child over another.Encourage teams to organize, and work on learning problems.Give praise to a group instead to encourage working together. Free education,so anyone can rise regradless of culture.
Destruction of all religous worship, this has caused more deaths in the world.Stop paper, and coin money. This will stop drugs, and illegal gaining of wealth. Encourage giving of self for mankind and earth. Teach that wealth is not the measure of someone, but what they have done the the planet as a whole.
Mankind can't continue as the Feragie on Star Trek, baseing everything on profit. If we do not change extinction will happen.

The OP says many things that are good ideas. I disagree about eliminating competition but would encourage more ethics. Presently we have too many people who only value winning and define winning by having more stuff and or money than anybody else.

Kids need to compete and need to feel winning and or losing and know that losing in a competition is not the end of the world but possibly a learning moment.

My thinking is competition encourages greed,as the best hunter, gets more skins,or the smartest heals more people, getting more chickens.Personal pride,is mans destruction.Work should be fun,and what a person likes to do.Working jobs that are not fun lead to anger, aand hate for very little pay.Pay needs to be eliminated, everyone should have what they need,Science should be studied more to eliminate awful jobs thru robotic's. Militaries by countries should be ended.Only Planetary defense be approved.

Competition encourages advancement. Nobody is equal...but opportunities are. Encourage others to find the best opportunity in life, and do their best, and the cream rises to the top. It's the cream that advances a society...not the fat at the bottom of the churn.

I remember in basic training we were taught to act as a unit. Not one man over the other, except for rank only.
I wondered why so much drilling and marching was done. But I see now,you can move a large group of men fast this way to a plane or ship.
The law of the jungle is not working for mankind, that is for primitive life forms. We should be better.

The US was a great place to live before the white man came and wanted to start paying for everything.

Exactly.

Except the fat is actually in the cream, which is why it rises. The more water-soluble, average milk bits remain below.

In war, units win battles, not individuals. So the goal is to train-up the unit so that even the least able soldier is able to contribute to the unit's ability.

But there are many aspect of war where this model fails. And that is why we have Marines, Rangers, and Special Operations Command. In which the very best of the highly selected candidates are fielded as operators.

This is not your draftee, regular military of our younger days. And even then, some branches did not take draftees. The USAF & USN both needed highly disciplined technicians more than physical prowess and courage. So they actively recruited to that fraction of society, and still do. Yeah, yeah, both of those services have some badass special ops guys. But most of both services are technical specialists, not blood-n-guts fighters.
