Me too. If you do a cargurus search throughout the country there are not that many out there available for sale.

I would take it.

One thing I noticed was that it looked like he did not put the wiper back on properly. I think it is parked too high on the windshield. Just a small niggle.

He was not fired. He left on his own terms. Velocity wanted to change the format and he did not agree with it so they parted ways.

Here is a video of him explaining his departure.

The few episodes I watched with the new guy seemed to be the same format with a different, albeit more animated, mechanic. The show would have never made it in the beginning if it weren’t for Ed China and he appeared to be cast aside like an old shoe. Not much loyalty from much of anyone these days. I wonder if there was a separation package with a gag clause?

I did like Edd very much but I think I like Ant as well. Still one of the best car fix shows.

I had forgotten all about the merkur. Was that a European built car? They build some cars over there that do quite well on the autobahn. In about 2001 I missed a flight from Eindhoven to Hamburg and had to rent a car and drive it that evening. All they had was a Ford Mondeo station wagon. I thought man this is gonna be a long boring drive. I was wrong. It had a big V6 and a five speed. It could cruise way over 200kph. Ford puts some good cars on the road over there.

It is actually Merkur. I read positive things about them in Car & Driver but they talked positive about most cars back then.
