Well, the W124 started in 1986 in the US. And that definitly is not a stock Mercedes!

If you really want to find out, you should conatct the seller for pictures of the engine, interior etc. Also ask him who did the engine conversion etc etc.
If they can't provide such proof, its probably a misprint. Alon

It's a very plain ad if that car is for real, but now you are making me wonder...
 If you ask the seller for more info or pics about it, please keep us posted !

Can someone check and see if he has some swampland avail in FLA? I may be interested.
Even if it is dyno'd at that, which I doubt, I wouldn't have paid 200k then or anything over 20k now. I think you can "over-do" a mercedes and cheapen it. Actually, I would not be interested in this car for any price.

Totally amazing: my parents went to Chicago back end of April and they brought back a newspaper. I spotted this car in the small ads (Porsche Exchange Illinois)! I looked into it (out of curiosity, as I live in the UK), and I think it is an early AMG work with all sorts of custom mods. I can't for the life of me remember the website address of the dealer, but I'm sure a search on "Porsche Exchange" would turn it up. The website had loads of info about the car and several pictures.
The w124 was available in Europe from late-1984, early-1985, so it could be genuine. Certainly, when I read the dealer's info about the car, my suspicions were not raised.

Thanks for the information, I've done the search and got into their website: http://porschexchange.com/ More pictures of the car over there, but not much additional information or even a picture showing what is under the hood... But they are stating that it's a true AMG Hammer
