Smoke is over the east coast of Canada from the western fires.

yup, it flew all over the fly over part of the continent. But that is good news for the west coast that got some fresh ocean air and westerlies.

Post California Coastal Air

I'm a few miles inland of El Segundo (think L.A.X.) right now and the sky is clearer but it still smells like smoke and is still hazy, better than before though .

Sorry we exported it, I wish it had blown off shore instead .

Yes. There are a few different versions. I use 3.5 but I installed it many years ago.

Thumbs up

Thank you .

I'm leery of new things on the computer as they tend to cause a cascade of misery....

Talking A "Smoke Break"

This doesn't mean what it did in the military long long ago...

It means I was able to actually see the San Gabriel Mountains that are only 12 miles from my house .

It was still bugger-all hot tho' .

I actually got the two jobs I needed to do done by 12:30 and then hid from the heat the rest of the day / night .

It was cooler this morning so @ 0-Dark:30 I saddled up and washed my 'Benz, drove it to SWMBO's house and once the sun came up I washed all the windows .

I hope all this damned smoke doesn't give us all cancer .

Weather back to normal here. 1.5" rain yesterday-nice! There was a reason we moved from Ca. Actually several. Very beautiful and varied state but the negs outweighed the positives. It's a little isolated here but most anything comes via UPS, etc in a few days. Plus Ca is right there when we want/need to go back. Most people here are from Ca. We sit around and reminisce about the Bay Area traffic.

Post Weather Repor

We got some reasonably decent air to - day too ~ I got up with the sun and there was fog, once the sun cleared it all out I could see the mountains and blue sky .

90* F by 10:30AM .

After a carby cleaning I took a little Motocycle test ride, it was nice out .

The Bob Cat fire has moved North over the San Gabriel mountains and is now causing havoc in the Southern Antelope Valley ~ as soon as the road re open I need to go check on some friends houses in the fire area .

I can still smell smoke .

Post Fires & After

The sad thing is, they've gutted the Forestry Service budget so they no longer replant trees after each fire....

I remember when they did and our local forests were always being replenished .
