Liar! was not moved, you made a copy elsewhere

Try getting the mods to move a thread. What I did was the only way to pull it off.

In the old days, you could delete your own thread. The same process by which you can now still delete a post would delete the entire thread if you deleted your original post. That was changed, not sure what prompted the change.

Not sure you should be able to delete post of others.

Like I said, It’s no longer allowed.

There was a kid years ago, I forget his name, he was a student at Rutgers, sometimes amusing and sometimes annoying. He posted a thread with a quick video of him with some lady he was supposedly about to sample the charms of. She still had her clothes on in the video, but one guy thought it was an incredible abuse of the lady’s integrity, privacy, etc. And he was right, of course.

He really got into it with the young guy, who tried to defend himself, and the other guy was his wiping the floor with him. I tried to point out the error of his ways. He seemed to get it, and was regretting he had posted the thread. It was late at night, he was worried the mods were going to give him grief when they saw it the next morning. I told him how he could delete the whole damn thread, which he did.

Nice try. The kid wanted to censor himself, he was embarrassed and rightly so.

But don’t worry, oh scholar and man of great intellectual heft, people will not have the option of deleting your posts if they are in a thread they started. Those days are long gone and I say Glory Hallelujah, free at last.

Good thing you convinced him how to post according to your wishes

Oh dude! Have I rocked your world? Did I perpetrate an injustice? The three people who posted on that thread were me, the kid, and the other guy who was outraged that the kid posted a photo of his girlfriend and then talked about sampling her charms. Deleting that thread was a net addition to the forum.

But don’t mind me, ya’ll take this up as part of your ongoing butt-hurt campaign.
