What are the tell tail.signs that that was AI? I do not really follow/use AI so your assessment was news to me. My biggest suspicion was the fact that the "person" has no post history and all of a sudden is making a post on an obscure website like this.

I doubt it. There are innumerable bots that scrape forums and social media for anything to latch on to. The same bot is probably on thousands of forums and will send DMs and eventually spam with links to malware/phishing sites.
