Hi everyone!

I have a 96 S500 and I parked it in a parking lot for a day, when I came back somebody removed the benz star emblem and the S500 lettering (scratched the paint too!). I bought a new badge and emblem but I don't know what adhesive I should use to put it back on. Any ideas?

new ones should come witht he adhesive as far as I know.

Otherwise some 3M external mounting tape should work as it is designed for exterior use and is quite strong.

Wow, that was fast, thank you guys. I didn't even the examine the new badge... its still inside a sealed plastic bag. I immediately thought I would need to come up with adhesive, but I will examine the new badge to make sure it has the pads.

Yup... the trunk star should pop right in... into the three holes in the trunk....

ANd like others said... the letters have the backing on them already. GOod luck.

Arthur the new badge should already have a black rubber pad with adhesive on it. Swab the surface with Alcohol and then apply the new badge.

I thought the star was actually mounted on the trunk with clips, I've never seen one off the car so I'm not too sure. If your trunk has holes in it where the star used to be then it is clipped on. If not then it should also have adhesive on the back of it.

2003 E320 Sedan. SOmeone just ripped off my stars off my car...I know how to replace the hood emblem, but how are the trunk stars attached? Are they clipped on or glued on? Any help would be appreciated.
