The other night it was so mild I was able to leave the bedroom door open (to the outside) with just the screen door shut through the night. Around 12 midnight I heard this going on:

fox scream

Lasted for about 30 minutes and I did go to the screen door and look out. Couldn't see anything and it sounded like it was coming from across the lake. Heckuva sound when you hear it for the first time.
