Any sting remedies?

Had something fly into my ear yesterday and then it had the audacity to sting me as well Can feel the swelling but no sign of anything left in there.Any ideas on ways to keep the swelling to a minimum,remedies,old wives tales ectBear

You may have better luck with something from the pharmacy (Apothecary?). Be careful about what you put in your ear! this one doesn't sound like a DIY project.

Tobacco from a cigar or pipe, moistened with water. Sounds crazy, but the tobacco (when wet) will actually draw the poison from the sting, and it contains a natural anesthetic.

It works best when you are first stung. Not much good after the poison has worked its way in....
