My 1994 E420(80,000 miles) is in need of a new wiring harness. After reading many post it seems that this is a major problem with the insulation and Mercedes handles each customer differently. I also have read that Mercedes will replace the harness if the car has less than 100,000 miles under a "goodwill" policy. Well, my dealer has no "goodwill" left and MB Client Assistance laughed at me. So, I need some help because I am getting ready to battle MB. It will be a hard fight and a lot of work/time, but MB should not get away with treating it's customers this way. Anyone who has had this problem please email me. Any solution, documents, idea, service bulletins, etc. would be of great help. I wonder if MB would respond if it was hit with a class action lawsuit? Thanks!
