New E-Class Benz is back!

Test drove the new E-Class yesterday. I had a 2003 E320 out for about an hour, got some time in the city and on the highway. The car really performs. Not quite as quick off the line as my E420 in the city, but I am convinced it has just as much passing power on the highway and seems it come up with it very little effort.

The car has the feel of a Benz, rock solid. It was very familiar in the way it felt to drive it, only everything was smoother, and very quite. It felt like a Benz. I really can't see anyone talking about declining quality in this model. It seems to have it all back and more.

Now this is where I am confused.

A 2003 E320?

I was at the dealers today and I saw an E240 (manufactured in 2000) but whose engine said 2001??

Do help me see the light?

Smile

In Canada we have the new E-Class that comes with 2 engines (not in one car, but rather 2 different engines in 2 different cars ) We have the E320 and E500. Check out www.mercedes-benz.ca New for 2003 shows the new E and the new CLK as well as the new SL.
I haven't heard of the E240, we don't getr that one here.
