I can't decide, should I go with the chrome star center caps or the mercedes benz crest style caps! What do you guys thinks they're for sadie

I have the "star" center caps on the ML and SL (the 300E 8-holers are aftermarket and have big lug bolt covers with a gold star on them).

One of the caps is chipped on the ML and I have thought about going to the "crest" style for a change. I have seen the crest on one other ML and it's a noticeable difference.

I think either looks fine. They aren't expensive so get a set of both types and try them out...

...or check with the dealer, as they may have the sets, and might even let you try them out and decide on the spot...

As always I appreciate your helpful insight. I am kinda leaning toward the crest style I think the navy would look nice. I am going to buy from the dealership since I aget a discount there. (Thanks to an old girl friends dad who owns a body shop)

And who says old girl friends aren't worth anything. As I see it I am still getting a great return on my investment

I vote for the SLK style wreathe logo center caps.

They are more expensive that the "star" logo center caps because they are made out of metal, not plastic.

You usually find them in blue / chrome, but they are also available in black.

I bought the SLK style center cap for the 8 hole rims that I had refinished, and the look is strikingly beautiful.

What kind of rims do you have? 15-hole, 8-hole, AMG rims? Are they painted silver, polished, or chromed?

Here is an example at Performance Products website, which sells these for $15 each. The regular star caps are $6 each. The SLK style cap is #4 in the picture.

How are ya.... I have MB 5 hole E420 wheel's. I am pretty sure I am gonna go with the crest style. I am with you on this one, I think there are worth the couple of extra bucks!


P.S. I am still moving to San diego in Jan. So You and I along with Alon and whoever else need to get together and talk benz..

Yeah, absolutely. Go with the SLK style caps.

The 5-holers look pretty good. It's the first time I've seen a W124 with those rims on it.

I'm sure others will meet us with us. The regulars would be Ashman, Hi-Power, Placo1, JCE, etc.

I forgot about your moving to San Diego. Is it a job transfer that's bringing you to the west coast?
