Talking

My condo has turned into a "half way house" for people in the middle of a divorce. When they end up at my door it means the counseling hasn't worked, but at least they tried. I came dangeroulsy close one time to getting married and backed out. He couldn't understand why I would rather be in a garage vs. a kitchen...men honestly....

I came dangerously close, too. Being a daredevil, I had to go right to the edge, lean over, and see how far in I could see without falling in. They ought to have some signs posted and a damned guard rail around that sucker! I fell in and it still hurts.

Hah! Funny this thread comes up again. They had a baby, everything was OK, had another baby, almost got divorced again, went back to counseling. Everything OK for now...

Guess if it worked once it'll work again huh? Kinda like weight watchers.

Neurotics build castles in the sky, psychotics move in and psychologists collect the rent. I wish them good luck Kuan.

Just a great deal of needless expense both of emotions and money.

There is a couple with kids a few houses away, wife moved out but comes over to pick up te kids on occasion.

You have never heard such loud, public and vulgar yelling!Christ, you wanna pull out the Purdey and shoot'em!

The wife generally seems to start it and the "husband"feeds into it with feeble justifications heard a thousand times.

Worst part is the effect on their kids, one of whom my daughter attends school with, they usually run down the block in traffic unsupervised when this selfish sh-t happens.

It got so intolerable one Saturday that {after 3 Manhattans, neat with bitters }I walked down the driveway, ambled up the street and yelled,"WILL YOU 2 HOOPLES SHUT THE F-CK UP SO I CAN ENJOY A MOMENT'S PEACE?"

They've been fairly quiet since then, restricting their ugly squabbles to the indoors, hell,a couple of my neighbors called to congratulate me on my "solution"to the problem.

Are you serious?

I think many men would tell you that having a woman who enjoys turning a wrench as much as they do would be like...well...Nirvana.

As long as she returns to the kitchen when it is time to cook dinner.

But seriously, I often wished my wife would share soem of my love for cars...and tinkering with cars.

Oh well, she puts up with me, so I guess that is good for something.

It depends if both parties are willing to work something out or not. If you are going in just to go in, no. The counsellor is basically a mediator. If both are not willing to give and take, no.
