Kuan, where the Porsche 930 made by VW. The reason that I ask is that there was a tub that I thought was a Porsche but when I checked the door plate it said that it was built by VW. The hood and trunk lid where missing, but it was a mid engine car. The engine and interior where also gone.

Nah nah... a 930 is a 911 with flared fenders. It's the turbo version. A while back it was quite common to see (maybe it is still today) turbo look Porsches. Most were made with fiberglass, very few used real metal.

>the "turbo look" body was actually available as an option on all 911's. muscular look, specially from the rear. less aerodynamic than the regular body but you could put really fat tires in back.

>the "tub" you found was probably a 914. the so called "Poor Man's Porsche". a true mid-engine car with a Volkwagen engine. there was also a 6 cylinder version which had a Porsche engine - this is the one you want to have. they are great racers for shorter tracks.
