VW 98 Syncro 4WD Westfalia California - opinions

Hi

Does anyone have any experience with these. I have to go pretty far to look at it so I was wondering if you have any opinions.
It looks real nice, and not too many 4WDs around. The 4WD is only available in this low power GAS engine.
110ps/4500rpm
19kg/2200rpm
5 Speed manual on the floor
VW T-4 base

Thanks Gary

They have a syncro section, which talks about syncro Eurovans, which I assume is what you're talking about?

Michigander had one and loved it.

A friend of mine in MI had one and loved it. His had the optional furnace. He really loved the van, esp the camper side. Did not much like the speed on long hauls but he put a great stereo in it and just listened to tunes while on the road.

If in great cond you will enjoy it for years. Great engineering, just remember it was meant to be used gently ie.. off the line around curves etc. If the car was/is abused it bites the pocket book very well. As my friends son found out when he got the handmedown and started driving it roughly.
