I would like some feedback from the many enthusiasts out there on a comparison on the quality of the Mercedes Benz vs. the Rolls Royce over the period of their entire development. I own several Benz's and know they were the official first car ever produced. I have also done research on the Rolls and found a great deal of myths surrounding this great car. It is true that Sir C.S. Rolls placed heavy emphasis on the upmost quality of his cars. I have read recent discussions on the quality of the modern Mercedes Benz and the constraints of the paying public. I also know modern Rolls go for over $200,000. This is why I am looking for comments over the entire life of the two, especially regarding prestige and quality. I look forward to reading your comments.

PS I know that Rolls are terribly expensive to maintain, even if you do it yourself.
