I do not recommend you try this yourself. It's not fun, and can be hazardous to your health!

We jacknifed, slid off the road, rolled over once, then the trailer broke loose, and the van rolled over again, landing on the driver's side. The trialer somehow ended up in front of us! As ugly as this was, we all came out with only a few bruises and scrapes! Our trailer and equipment did not fare as well...we've got several cases and speaker cabinets to replace, but the drums and guitars survived.

We even went on to play the show that evening in Orlando, FL, which was sold out! Folks couldn't believe we had actually composed ourselves enough to continue on and play the show, but we did it.

In 13 years of touring, this was my first crash, and hopefully the last!

VERY special, HUGE thanks to our friends in Manmade God, who have been our opening band for the past couple of weeks. They were already in Orlando, sleeping, but upon hearing about our wreck, immediately turned around and back-tracked to help us out, and give us a ride to Orlando. Great band, and VERY cool dudes who went WAY out of their way to help us out.

ARGH! My own personal nightmare come true. We've had close calls but nothing like that. You wonder it doesn't happen more often given the hours and circumstances surrounding touring.

*shudder*

I'm just glad you all made it out ok. Great kudos to the other band, I'm betting most bands would do the same, we certainly would. Good luck with the rest of the tour! Now to go shopping with all that insurance money...
