Hey that is cool!
20ft is good enough for me. My neighbors might be able to pick it up too then hehehe :p I'm guessing that it just converts whatever comes out of the sound card's audio out jack? Pretty useful stuff! Where did you get it?

I just purchased the Dell Axim PDA (the advanced model) and am still learning all the little tricks it can do. Darn nice unit!!
One thing I need to learn is how to download pictures that I've modified using my other "new" hobby: PhotoShop. Having a career (television) that uses all forms of these toys, I'm always looking over my shoulder to see what new things are out there to play with. I only wish I were more of a computer geek to know how to use a lot of this stuff! |

sounds like a cool little toy tracy.
Personally if I want music in my car I just make a cd, but soon enough I'll have a radio that play's mp3's off of a CDrom. MMMM Can't wait to have 150+ songs per disk. Later I'll be figuring out something else too My favortie computer toy, would have to be a digital camera. Gotta love being able to take pics, download them, and post them up all within an hour. Alon

I would have loved to record mp3 music onto CDs because, as you pointed out, you can get about 10x the capacity. But, of course, neither of my OEM head units will understand .mp3 format. Also, digital cameras are just the greatest!

Do you mean to export photos from your PDA to somewhere else? Or, perhaps to copy them here? If the ladder, there are 2 primary steps to meet the physical size and file size requirements. First is to select Image and then resize Image. I haven't been lucky at going over about 700 pixels on the large axis. Next is to use select File and then Save for Web and dial in the resolution until you get the image to have less than the, i think it is 62kb size permitted to be uploaded on this site. OTOH, if you just link the photo you can use any size. Of course, to make a link you have to have a source that is readable from the web. There are so many computer toys out now. Even though i am a computer geek, it is impossible to keep up!

Labenz,
I meant to export pictures from PhotoShop to my PDA. A buddy at one of the places I work has pics of his kids on his Compaq. I'd love to have pics of my little nieces to show off to friends! I'll play around with the re-sizing thing. Once I figure it out, y'all will have to put up with some of my pics too! You're not the only one that loves outdoor photography! |
